Even if Alabama dropped their tax as well as the federal tax, at $4.50 a gallon, it won’t help much. If I remember correctly, federal tax is 18.5 cents a gallon and state is 24 cents. Still means you’re paying more than double the price from the day before the pipeline was axed.
