Just checking in and got to get back on the tractor. Not trying to start an aurgument but all sins are not equal but God hates sin. All punishments will not be equal neither will all rewards. While i go back to food plotting if you think i am wrong you will have time to study it lol Can you back up this statement with scripture ? All sin carries the penalty of death.

You should welcome drug addicts, whores, drunks, criminals and gays to your church. That's what church is for. If your's isn't welcoming to them, the church is on the wrong path. Note, I said welcoming. Not condoning them. There is a difference.
The reason for the church is to lead to Christ. Regardless of the sin. But..the sin needs to be acknowledged and work towards resolution. The church should not be accepting of the sin, but of the sinner. If the sinner tries to bring the sin into others lives, then they needs escorted to the door. They are there to get saved, not to corrupt.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Everyone needs the forgiveness of Christ according to the bible. And asking for forgiveness doesn't mean you'll be forgiven. Genuine heart change through real repentance and just asking to be forgiven are 2 different things.

Everyone needs to decide if they are in or if they are out. It is unacceptable for anyone who claims they are Christian to vote Democrat. What about Catholics? Or predominantly Black churches? Both have high numbers of Democrats. Read the letters Paul wrote to pretty much most of the churches in the New Testament. He was dealing with the same topics. Sexual immorality, idolatry, false doctrines, wolves coming after the sheep. There's nothing new under the sun and nothing the bible doesn't warn us about. Follow the manual. Most all of these churches were in much more hostile environments that we are in now. Are you CoC. I grew up hearing that a lot, then the preacher ran off with the church secretary Those without sin cast the first stone seems to be CoC’s mantra. My personal experience you might say. I agree with the OP but these religious threads alway devolve into denomination bashing because my church is holier than your church bs.

Not really just as long as I’ve been here I’ve noticed this trend.
I’ll make another point. The thread about the SCOTUS ruling with the coach praying. Like someone mentioned, now a Muslim can and so can a satanist.
It falls along the lines of careful what you wish for, you may just get it.
Like I said, I agreed with the OP. I do think homosexuality is an abomination as the Bible mentions.

This how I see the alphabet bunch. They want acceptance even if they have to use the slanderous blame game of calling folks homophobic to achieve said acceptance. They also believe they are going to heaven without having to change their behavior ever. This is why you see them or hear of them in church. In addition they skip over Bible truths that address their behavior. That’s half the people in the church minus the homophobic part. Most people confess to be Christians and live this way. I did for a long time myself.
