Does anyone remember when Stucky's used to be the Bucee's of its day?

I remember Stuckeys all too well. Dad would stop at one in each state we passed through on a trip just to get a state logo shot glass.

Wife and son went down to Foley week before last. On the way home, they stopped in Buc-ee's. Called and asked me if I wanted them to bring me home a sandwich. I said sure. They got me a brisket sandwich. Damn thing was $9. They can keep it for $9.

Have you tried Google?

The one at Memphis was our most visited (family nearby), but we hit em all. Pecan Goo Goo Clusters and Pecan Rolls were favorites, along with various hard candies.

There is also one at the Verbena exit on 65, but it dang sure aint as nice as it was in the 80's.

My grandmother worked at the Stuckey’s candy factory in Eastman, GA where it started. She always had the orange slices and hard peppermint candy on hand. We got the pecan rolls as special treats. Good memories.

Nobody goes there anymore...it's way too crowded.

That's probably the one I mostly remember going to as a kid on beach trips from B'ham to Ft. Walton. Yeah, this one near me doesn't quite live up to what I remember, but it is pretty nostalgic to go in it. Still full of little traveling/touristy knick-knacks that you can't really find anywhere else.

And I guess I'm in the minority here, I love Bucee's. I usually get in and out pretty quick any time I go there, but if there is a line at the exit off the interstate, I'm not even trying.

Never ever eat the dairy queen food if co-located in a stuckeys! Completely turned me off any fast food co-located with a gas station.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

You can't get in the one in Leeds at the Bass Pro exit. Looks like they are having wet T-short contest up there every single time I go past. I just drive on that ain't worth it. Mainly because there are no titties there for show that I would likely want to see.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Owners are hunters, and are pushing the limits on wildlife management on private property.

Pretty surprising how successful those gas stations have become.
