Well Mrs. Bamaeyedoc got chosen as alternate for 3 hunts at Thigpen Hill. Serious question. If she picks one and DOES NOT get upgraded as hunter, will she lose her preference points?

You will not lose points if not upgraded to Hunter.

I got Thigpen for 2/2/23. Any idea if that’s a good draw?

Got picked as a hunter for 12/1 at Thigpen Hill. Also got the dog hunt at Geneva on 12/9. Turned down three Alt. slots.

I got alternate for Stimpson archery 1-12-23. I know I probably don't have a chance in hell of getting it

I drew Oak Mountain for 12-19. Not a bad time I guess, but have heard mixed reviews about it.

I saw 22 deer in 4 days in my unit. There was absolutely zero cover when elevated and would have hunted from the ground the entire time. Some units are thicker.

You will be closest to auburn or Columbus we stayed in Columbus last year. Good drive but cheapest hotel not in a bad area we found.

That’s promising to hear. Were you there about the same time? Did y’all kill anything?

About 2 weeks before your time. No. I think one deer was killed the entire week by all hunters.
