Dragfan66 OP 8 point Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 1,311 St. Clair County	Friend recently bought said truck and drove it only a couple of days and then the transmission started acting up. Took it somewhere and had it diagnosed, and they said the TCM was bad. They said this part is discontinued from Ford. I searched a bunch and can't find anything for this, new, used, reconditioned, whatever. 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4L Triton V-8 Can anyone help me with this? Don't confuse my user name with any sort of alphabet faggotry. It only stands for drag racing, and Route 66 was my home track back in the day.

1shot 8 point 1 Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 1,410 Chelsea	04 yea likely ecm controlled.. too many years passed to remember off hand.. newer vehicles have a different module for all kinds of crap. They communicate on data lines ( talk to one another ) body, abs, engine, trans. They are only bound to produce parts for 10 years. Ford is notorious for stop production after 10. I’ve got a 12 expedition built ( 8/11/11 ) that needs an abs module nope note available from ford 🤷🏻‍♂️. We’ll go plan B I’ll delete all abs functions and have normal old school brakes if owner agrees..
