Looking for a youth .410 for an upcoming dove hunt with my 7 year old. Anybody have anything around the Mobile area?

Not yet but I've got some leads. Seems as rare as hens teeth at the moment. May end up borrowing one for the weekend. Will be his first dove hunt.

Too big for him as in too long? I purchased one like this YEARS ago for my son, took it home and cut the stock down, then used a belt sander on it... refinishing it now for my grandson to shoot

Yes LOP was a bit long. I considered cutting down the stock as well.

For the price and safety, I can’t see why you would do anything different.

No hammer, single shot with a mechanical safety.

I’d caution cutting too much without adding some weight in the stock. It’s already only a 3.3 lb gun and will get jumpy on you if you don’t.

Thanks for the help guys. Ended up borrowing one from a good friend for the hunt this weekend. If he likes dove hunting as much as deer hunting and speckled trout fishing I may have to shell out some cash for the cricket or mossberg youth pump.
