For those that shoot 25-06, what factory loads would you recommend for high velocity/ static shock effect? 115-120 grain is what I’ve always seen as standard, but I see some 90-100 grain loads.

I've killed them from 60 to 330 yards with the 117 grain Hornady Superformance SST. Body size ranged from 120 (doe) to 260 (mule deer).

Never had one take a step.

Saw one shot in in the rear at close to 400 yards bullet made it to the liver. Deer went 150 yards

I used to shoot 100gr Hornady soft point at 3400fps. It killed like lightening. at close range, 30 yards, the bullet tended to explode with little penetration if ya hit a big bone going it. I quit using it after about 100 deer killed. LOL

My Remington shoots the 100gr Cor-lokt best (0.75moa) but I almost never got a pass through on anything but younger does. Some fell DRT and others went 30-40 yards and piled up but I had to go look for them. Almost never a blood trail. There were a few nice bucks I never found. I’m using 117gr now but they print 1.5moa .

Hendershots will load the 80gr TTSX.

I shoot handloads that are not light for caliber.

Same here.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Hornady 117 will do whatever you want on whitetail and hogs. A decent 25-06 will do the job, if you do yours

80 grain ttsx loaded to 3600 in a 25-06 is very satisfying.

I shot good 8 about 6 years ago w 115 grain - did not get much blood - took over hour to find - didn’t go 85 yards - was not impressed w hole r blood - prob 160 yard shot - it’s been a safe Queen since

Missed this post - why don’t you see heavier weights w the 2506? I had to look and look - finally found 133 grain I gone try atleast at range

257 when he was on this site said he had some either 130 r 135 homemade loads for his 2506 that he said were awesome - I could believe that

I only found one place that sold higher weight and it was higher than a giraffes Butt in cost

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self

Mine shoots 100 gr.much better than 120gr. Not enough twist to stabilize the heaver bullet.
