Just a follow up. Took the new element out today and turned on the crow call. Smoked a few maggot eaters with them new toy!

Guys!! This gun is no joke. If you are looking for a new autoloader, outside of the A400/SBE, this should be on your list. It is an extremely affordable gun. I got the Max 4 camo. I think it retails for $799 but I snagged a new one off GunBroker for $455 (plus tax and shipping $565).

I’ll second what big bore said. I got my “wife’s” in Friday…shot it this am with 7/8oz loads. Good night it cycled perfectly. Butter smooth. Honestly felt like a super black eagle but for a third of the cost. May find myself buying another soon.if I hadn’t of set a franchi up for Turkey Huntin, I would’ve gotten the 22” Turkey gun of it.

My interest is up on this gun now. A positive review from Big Bore makes it even more intriguing.

So I took the plunge and got me a new Wetherby Element Turkey.. this thing is sweet! Anyone know what choke works the best I used turkey choke that came with it with some long beards , but I want to shoot tss #9. I was advised that the extra full turkey choke that comes with it was not for tss anyone know the truth to it?

I just bought me a trulock .575…i shoot a .585 and am pleased with it in my franchi…my buddy got a sumtoy and said pattern was fine for 20 and 40 but shot at 60 just for fun and said was awful so he won’t be shooting past 40.

Is yours having cycling issues with light loads? My wife’s 26” cycled everything out of the box but mine won’t cycle the light loads. Frustrating.

I just bought another one last week too. Got it for $455. Seems like if you watch them closely, that is the going rate for the 12’s. For some reason, the 20’s seem to go for a good bit higher. Maybe it’s the whole TSS/turkey thing that lots of people are doing and going away from the 12’s. One hint for anyone looking. Make sure the seller doesn’t charge a credit card fee and make sure the shipping is reasonable. I think I paid $25 shipping and no CC fees.

Mine don't like the 7/8 oz loads but cycles 1 oz just fine turkey loads are fine

Man mine was the 20 ga…got lucky on it on an auction. Yeah mine didn’t have a cc fee and ok shipping. It was 520$ before ffl fee. How do you like the 12 ga? I’d be interested in using it as a duck gun etc

It’s weird, my wife’s and buddy’s cycled everything from the get go. But that’s encouraging as I’m wanting to use it woody Huntin in the swamps as well as a backup turkey gun

Is this gun drilled and tapped for a red dot? How does it cycle rolled hand loads?

No it's not drilled an tapped.. I have meadow creek mount for this year but plan to drill and tap.. according to weatherby I'll be voiding my warranty

The only downside to the gun is a lack of stock drill/tap. I've been running a 12ga element for the last four years and it's been rock solid shooting everything from the lightest loads to turkey loads.

I got cute and wanted a "nice" 20ga turkey gun, drilled and tapped, camo, all the good stuff last year. I got a franchi that was about $300 more than the equivalent weatherby element. The franchi ain't half the gun the weatherby is, won't cycle light loads and sometimes hangs up on turkey loads. Gonna have to send it in one day. Pissed I ever paid so much for the gun when the weatherby is clearly superior.

Buy one with confidence IMO

I have 2 12’s and now am looking at a 20 🤣. Lot of value in those weapons.
