Prayers for you Cuz.
My mother went to be with my dad 4 weeks ago today. She suffered for years in her earthly body. The doctors told us in 2011 she would maybe live 5 years. She stayed with us for more than eleven years and her last years were terrible. It hurt me deeply to see her suffering like she did and not be able to help her.
Thankfully, when the end came, she didn't suffer much longer. It hurt when the end came but I was also relieved that he suffering was over.

My sister from Iowa flew in today and arrived here at the hospital at 1:20 p.m. She was able to spend some quality time with him although he could hardly respond. I know he knew she was here. He tried his very best to articulate that to us.
We all went in to see him one on one, one by one. Then all of us went in and gathered around his bed. I lead us in a prayer thanking God for what he meant to each of us and then I prayed for God to mercifully allow him to come home.
I then asked for anyone else that wanted to pray to do so. Both my girls prayed a prayer for and with their Pawpaw. One of the pastors that will help with his service then prayed a prayer with all of us around him.
Afterwards everything was removed. I.V.'s, fluids, glucose, and everything else. All he is getting now is a couple of meds to help manage his pain. He is in our Lord's hands now. I've asked God to let him come on home, to extend to him His mercy and grace.
Pray for him and for all of us. He is tired, ready to go, and all of us are beyond worn out.
Your prayers are much appreciated.

I lost my father 3 years ago. I was 40. He was 65. Too young. Let me know if you need to talk. It's a strange feeling

Such a bittersweet time. Throughout our life, we all know one day what we will have to face. But you are never really prepared. The sweet part is knowing he is headed for gloryland. No more pain, sorrow and walking with his savior. I heard a preacher say one time…”yes, we will miss them tremendously but it is selfish on our part to not want them to go”…… Kinda puts death in perspective. Prayers for comfort and strength ^^^ this exactly. Can’t say it any better. Billy, I’m praying for all of y’all.
Jesus... I hope you know Him personally like I do.
