Was listening to my favorite hunting podcast ( Southern Outdoorsmen)the other day and they made a point I hadn’t ever thought about. Discussing aging of deer they had an easy explanation, if you chopped off the front legs would the buck fall backwards or forwards. Looking at past photos it makes sense but seems relatively easy. I know angles and positions of live animals is difficult to judge but I this seems to work. What is your opinion.

Guessing it’s just a simpler explanation of comparing hind quarter sizes and leg length. No need for over analyzing or graphing but it’s a simple tool.
