At ~4:21pm I heard what sounded like multiple fighters flying from W to E over Hsv. Heard another wad about 20 minutes ago. Too cloudy to see them. Didn’t sound like they were higher than 8-10k’ and not moving really fast. Anybody else hear these or know if that’s what they were??

No base here othe than Redstone Arsenal. Usually very little military jet activity though.

I heard the jets, too, at the same time as the OP. Too cloudy to see them but they sounded lower than normal.

Standing in the backyard looking up for one and Wolverines ran through my mind. Had to check online to make sure we weren't being invaded.

Those things used to scare my grandma to death in Old Texas breaking the sound barrier. After the war in Italy, the planes freaked her out for a while after moving to the States.

I thought the Air Force/Guard had stopped using the old C-130's. Had one fly over here at Lake Martin the other day. Love to hear them flying low and mean sounding.

Seen an osprey fly over my house today, blackhawks and such are pretty regular here but not those. Had one buzz the treetops at choccolocco one day about freaked me out.

When I was on the airfield in HSV there were T-38s coming and going from Columbus MS. quite often.

See the T-38s all the time over in my neck of the woods. Occasionally see some older figures but none of the newer fighters.
