12 gauge, factory short barrel. I know what I’m asking here. If you got one you don’t want to heirloom I’ll buy it. I would sell you mine, but my son told me if I did I would never see my grandson again!

I Have the Super Mag version with i think a 23 in barrel in MO camo. one of my favorite guns. May sell it one day but not anytime soon. Although Duxlayer is making me question my sanity.

This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know if the serial number identifies the gun as original and the camo pattern on it? Where I'm going with this is, to the unsuspecting soul, could someone dip an 11-87 in greenleaf or trebark and pass it off as an original for big bucks? Before spending $5,700 on one I'd like to be able to verify the authenticity somehow. I think the better question is why. What’s the reason for the increase for that specific gun. You could pick up the same thing minus the camo for $500 to $800 bucks. Like you, I’m thinking about picking up some of these cheap 1187s and having them dipped and reselling them. It’s dumb, kinda like the fox vest but that’s a whole bother argument.

The original guns have a particular type of finish. It’s almost paint instead of film dip. Like maybe cerakote or something. It’s very particular though and you can spot it a mile away, and spot a fake. Buying 11-87s and having them dipped won’t accomplish much but spending all of your money. Correct, it’s not even remotely close having one dipped vs the original guns.
