Skullworks OP Freak of Nature Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 26,001 Prattville, Alabama	The customer wanted a display knife for a taxidermy piece so I came up with this. I took an old rusty fighter style knife I had laying around and cut the tip and made it a clip point. Then I shortened the back end of it. Soaked it in vinegar to get the rust off and darken it a little. Found an old piece of antler and shaped it and fit it to the blade. Wrapped the wood spacer with artificial sinew. I left the antler “in the rough” to get the old look. I took a Tandy leather sheath kit I had laying around and distressed it to get a worn look and did the stitching with artificial sinew. I’m happy with how it turned out. It’s sharp too! "I'm not near as critical about how big they are as I once was. Smiles are more important now! We will grow more deer." Jimmy G.
