Can somebody give me some good info on the upper end of lay. I have a place there and fish it all the time, I just never fish above beeswax. I have a tournament coming up in two weeks. I know that the upper end usually turns on a little faster than mid lake to south lake area. So, I want to try and find some big females up shallow. The couple times i've fished up that way it's just been for spots on the main river. Somebody give me a good area to swim a jig and flip. thanks

What about Bulley creek, or the next creek upstream from it on the left. Never been in them before. Is there enough grass in there for it to be worth my time. I'm not very good a pitchin wood or throwin crankbaits. I have to swim a jig or flip grass to get a good head bite. I'm going to go play around next sat or sun, but just trying put together a plan.

I fish from Kelly Branch up to Yellowleaf. Best area of the lake in my opinion. In the winter, I spend a lot of time on the ledges with crankbaits. Once it warms up, I start fishing the grass and don't stop doing that until about Nov. What a great lake. I wish they'd leave the water alone on Logan and Neely and Weiss......

Thanks for the info guys. Hopefully I'll whackem next weekend. I got to fish mitchell a few times last week, and they are on pretty good down there. Caught some really nice spots, and even a couple big largemouth. Maybe lay will turn on soon.
