Dad and I bought this hull in 1999, repowered with 150 carb Merc and fished the northern gulf from the Squiggles to Desoto Canyon to Ram Powell. We repowered again in 2007 with 150 Optimaxes. I spent $5k on a new fuel tank in 2012. My buddy bought a 45’ Express and we got badly spoiled. But 45s are expensive to run and it didn’t last long. So back to fishing the Mako. In 2019 we were coming home from a Snapper trip and lost power on the starboard engine. Diagnosis is zero compression on bottom 2 cylinders. Mechanic said don’t rebuild, buy new Suzukis. Dad died in ‘19. Then covid, got busy with kids activities, etc and boat has just been sitting. She was apparently used on the SKA trail back in the day, has 32 rod holders, and and has plentiful cracks that were there when we bought it and are still there. In the corners and on gunwale they do look scary so may be a tough sell. Full transom with Armstrong bracket makes it very seaworthy. Furuno chart plotter and bottom machine combo with 2kw transducer. 4 blade stainless props. Trailer is aluminum. Two of the three axles were replaced in 2019 and may have 20 miles on them. Brakes removed long ago. Needs coupler. Im going to keep all tackle with thoughts of moving to a twin diesel inboard on day. Meanwhile a 13’ whaler will get us to Robinson Island and Pirates Cove for now. Located in Orange Beach. $8k PM with questions or for pics. Jamey ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/KngC9bW.jpg)

WTH?!? Say it ain’t so!!! Sad to see the Dixie Flyer go. Guys, Jamey is as straight up as they come. Deal with confidence.

Posting this was a good milestone for me towards that result. I recall you and I fished Elbow to Nipple with nary a knock down. Blue water fishing is like that sometimes, and other times it’s the biggest thrill in world. I miss it badly. All PMs have been been replied to. I’ll post a few more pics here then get serious and post to Craigslist and Hull Truth. May look to sell engines separately.

Updated price: $6000. New trailer coupler will be installed Friday so it can be towed. I just found the receipt from 2019 for the two new axles at $1200. I’ll be in Orange Beach the next two weekends if anyone wants a first hand look. Outriggers and extra on deck fuel tanks included. Don’t know exact engine hours but they are very low… we lost all of 2010 with oil spill and 2011 into 2012 with fuel tank replacement. Then buddy bought the big boat and we fished it for a few years ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/H6FOSrT.png) ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/kiHyldj.png) ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/NAIVLiG.jpg)

Those old MAKOs are tanks. If I had the time I'd be all over this. Some paint, a pair of Yamaha F150s.....this is a great opportunity for someone
