We got ours from Lowes about 7 or 8 years ago. Bought it from the store that morning and they delivered it that afternoon. I guess they changed how they do things.

We just got one two months ago from Lowe’s in alabaster. It came 4 days after purchase.

The third party delivery is a disaster! Many houses I've remodeled, I've been screwed on with the third party delivery. No issues with Lowe's employees delivering at all.
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

It is getting that way with everything. My condensor developed a leak on my 02 tundra. I could find them online, but thought, dang as hot as it is, if I could find one locally, it might be worth the upcharge. Same issue, none of the parts stores had one in stock, but they could deliver it to my house from their warehouse.
So its getting to where you can't even avoid the shipping fees by picking up at stores.
And FWIW, I bought a dishwasher from lowes, charged it to my Lowe's card, and went and picked it up. About 3 months later, they send me an email sayiing they were refunding my order for non pick up. I called the store and couldn't get anyone to answer, so I printed the email, wrote a note on it that I had indeed picked up the dishwasher, and mailed it to the store to the attention of the manager. Crickets...........
So I am not surprised they don't have inventory, they can't keep up with it.

I bought a fridge from them a couple of years ago. After weeks of waiting on them to deliver and mutliple phone calls telling me that they would deliver it on such and such day (which never happened). We finally just got our money back and went and bought one from Home Depot. It was in the kitchen that afternoon.

We got one earlier this summer from Lowes and delivery was a DISASTER. Our fridge went out and were having to live out of cooler and spare space in the small garage fridge.
They showed one "available for delivery" so I purchased it and it was supposed to arrive a couple days later. It arrived at my house earlier in the day than they said, so I was at work. They said "no problem we will just come back at 12:00 (or whatever)" and that was the last I heard of that crew. They never showed back up. After calling corporate, the local store, visiting the local store it was purchased from, they all said the same thing: "there's nothing we can do about it. It's a 3rd party delivery service that we have no control over".
You don't have any control?????? You are the ones who hired them! Call the damn driver and tell him to come to my house right this instant and deliver the fridge! This went on for 8 DAYS! I eventually hounded a poor assistant manager around the Hoover store on Valleydale till he almost cried. Again, he said they literally could not do anything other than once the fridge eventually arrived, they would give me 40% off. I just gave up. 8 days after it was supposed to arrive, it magically showed up.
I'll never purchase from them again.

I no longer waste time with appliances from Lowe's or Home Depot. Ordering issues, stock issues, delivery issues and my Lord if you have a damaged delivery or return. Been there too many times on properties. Never again. It's worth the money dealing with a real appliance store.

Bought one about 5 years ago from them. They delivered, and even set it up for me. Actually changed out the water line with a braided one. The two guys left with some smoked deer sausage and burger.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Not Lowes but just bought one from Home Depot and got it delivered and installed in about a week. Then we realized the freezer door didn't close tight so they sent a repairman who said someone at the factory put the wrong door on it. In about another week we had a new one delivered that did have the proper door. All this has been within the last month. I'll keep this in mind if I buy any appliances anytime soon.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I'll never purchase from them again. Had a similar experience with the Madison store last year. I’ll never buy appliances from Lowes again.

Bought a new refrigerator from Malbis/Spanish Fort Lowe's less than 6 months ago. Wife went in and paid for it on Thursday, they delivered and set it up on Saturday. Zero problems.

Lowe's certainly does not have the best POS nor inventory system. Yet, they have fairly decent prices for what they sell, we use them for all our rentals. Yes, they use third party delivery people, but so does Amazon. We have received merchandise and have had to send it back for scratches, not working, sent the wrong item, and a host of other problems. Yet, we still use them. Please don't expect to get it and everything be ready great when you get it. It could be even longer once you get it, and there is a problem.
