Is this the UAW attempting to exert control over a non-union manufacturer? Side question… Is ZF the same company that use to make boat transmissions? Just wondering as I had a ZF transmission in an inboard Mako.

Fatherof2 4 point F Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 505 RBC	I wouldn’t doubt that it wasn’t the same zf. They’ve been involved in power transmission (as well as many other things) for a long time. They provide some sort of component to almost every oem automotive manufacturer. Very big player.

I have the ZF transmission in my Ram 1500 and it's the best transmission I have ever had in a vehicle.

Article was a little vague as to what specific products, supply chain, would be effected by the strike. Agree that items are sensationalized for media…
