As long as the temps are low its alright. I just put it out when its gonna be cold and dry during the rut. Our rut is late in the season so it works out. Its not great for nutrition. One of the biologist on here described it as eating candy bars, they like it and it'll give them a quick shot of energy. Alot of folks use covered feeders and claims it works, but IDK how, cause its humid down here more times than naught. For without victory, there is no survival

It literally piled up under the vibrating feeder. Deer on the west side of the river love it. They stick their head between my legs to get to it. I have no explanation.
