Is there a path for Bama to be in the CFP?
Maybe.
Needed items: -Washington drops at least 1(probably 2) to either USC, Oregon St. or Utah...this is likely -Oklahoma wins the rematch with Texas in the Big 12 championship game giving Texas 2 losses -Bama beats LSU, goes to Atlanta and defeats Georgia -either Ohio State or Michigan win the de-facto Big 10 Championship on 11/25 convincingly and the committee doesn't opt to put the loser in the playoffs over the SEC champion -UNC beats Florida State in the inaugural ACC championship game -USC, Oregon St or Utah finds a way to beat Oregon. Not entirely impossible
Biggest need of all you didn't mention: BAMA NEEDS TO WIN OUT--Lose any of the last 4 (possibly 5, if they make to the SECCG) and CFP is just a dream. IMO, they lose one of the next 2 (LSU or Kentucky) LSU is the only worrisome game left before Atlanta. Kentucky has only teased us with the possibility of breaking into the top half of the SEC under Stoops. Start the season strong and fade back to mediocrity by the end of the season. LSU has one of the best offenses in the country...and one of the worst defenses. Whichever team can make a couple of stops on D wins.

Just saw game time is 6:45 and will be on CBS. I like it when CBS does the night time game couple times each year.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

[quote=trailertrash]FSU will faceplant at some point. It's an ACC thing especially with teams that haven't been good for a while and are suddenly good. They can't handle November and lose to some piddling team that has no business even being close on the scoreboard. AKA Clemsoning.
Don’t you put that evil on my NOLES!!
GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO, they lose one of the next 2 (LSU or Kentucky) Yeah Bama winning out-in this scenario- had to be a given. they won't put a 2 loss team in the CFP. Unless there just isn't any undefeated teams left out there.

They have to keep the pressure on Daniels or he will cut us apart. Luckily, we have proven we have the ability to get after the QB in a major way
