I grew up hunting public land I still have that hunt like a indian and hunting shouldn't cost money mentally.lol.yeah right I know
But ive cut entire deer into inside loins, backstrap, and a few roast and a lot of cubed meat before I had a grinder.it was all delicious and didn't cost me a penny except a hunting license.i like beating the system

Hell fella lives beside us turns entire deer into jerky.makes me cringe thinking about it but deer jerky is addictive

The wife, kids and grandson all love jerky... besides the tenderloin I turned 3 deer all into jerky one year...they are beyond addicted to it and they have been mentioning jerky a few weeks ago.

If I hunt the evening and have to work the next day I drop at the processor. If it’s the morning or I don’t have to work the next day then I process them. It does take time. I guess I can break one down and debone in an hour. Then an hour to grind, and then I vacuum seal. Then clean up. You’re talking most of the afternoon. I like doing it though. I don’t grind the whole deer but most of it.

It makes sense sometimes. I do my own when I can. Everything else has gone up a bunch. Why would this service be different ?

I had one done one time and was offered "fat added" to the hamburger. Never again. They used beef "tallow" probably because it was easy to work with and get.
After you ate a burger your teeth were just coated with this heavy fat. It was gross and I soon pitched the rest of what I had. Yuck.

I clean & quarter mine .. keep the backstraps and tenderloins and put those up myself.... I still paid over $500.00 in processing fees last year. But.... I don't have a cooler to hang them in nor the equipment for processing. I also work a lot of long hours during the week, so I am paying for the convenience. I guess I could always just sit and watch the deer ... NOT!!!!

Quit worrying about what a bunch of people on the internet think about you.

Haha. That opening sentence was purely a dramatic hook. I don't worry and I don't think it was the intention of the original comment to call a bunch of strangers lazy.
