I've got a Lynch made in Homewood that's still one of my "go to" calls. Probably 75 years old.
Used to be a lifeguard, until that blue kid got me fired.

I've got a Foolproof and a World Champion, both from the 60s. But they are busted up and unusable because of me carrying them in coats that didn't have a proper pocket for them. There were no clothes designed for turkey hunting back then, and there surely wasn't a vest with a pocket for a box call. I repaired the lid on the Foolproof several times, but the last injury to it proved fatal.
I once had a hen to walk up right behind me and start yelping, and her yelp sounded exactly like my Foolproof. I remembered her tone and cadence and often tried to duplicate the exact way that she sounded. I can get close with other calls now, but my old Foolproof sounded exactly like her.

Yeah, my dad busted his favorite world champion when he sat on it. Broke the hen side lip. His favorite call was a birmingham made foolproof that found its resting place on the side of a ridge out in cheaha when it fell out of my pocket a few years ago. Bet it is almost gone by now. I still have 3 of the older world champion calls. I'm guessing from the 1960s. My grandparents wrote their first names on the back to tell them apart. Wish I still had that old foolproof. The new one just doesnt replace the memories. Shot my 1st 2 birds while he called them in with what he called his "sweet talking" call. Those old foolproofs were that.
