IYou can lay them on their side and transport them. Just when you stand it back up let the refrigerator sit unplugged for 8hrs or so. That way the oil for the compressor will drain back into the compressor. That’s what I have heard - I’ve never put it to the test yet.

Usually try to wait till overnight. Just depends on how long they were laid down for.
