I am seeing a lot of advertisements for electric vehicles. How many of us are going to buy one. I had an electric golf cart and had nothing but trouble 😈 now don’t get me wrong they are quite but I don’t need a quite cart I need a dependable cart
I am drinking from my saucer cause my cup has overflowed. Thank you Lord

If all the concern was about the environment as we're hearing about the EV's the more would be invested in Hydrogen Gas Vehicle technology The emissions from burning hydrogen gas is water and oxygen and its not complicated at all to produce it and it comes from the most abundant renewable resource on the planet We all know there is no concern about the enviroment and the goal isnt cleaner air but it is all about the $$$$$$$ This EV stuff reminds me of the curly florescent bulbs that came out a few years before the LED
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

I built a hydrogen generator that held about two quarts of water and installed it on a '96 toyota 4x4 It produced on average 5mpg more than I was getting on just pump gas and would last about a week before I had to refill the tank

Who could blame folks for having little faith in all this ? Instead of starting with EV's as an option for near home soccer Mom type use, they start demanding that everyone will have to submit at some point. Then they print bogus money for you to use to buy one. You could technically call this "Tax Money" , but it's really more like a finger on the scale of inflation. You are paying for someone's EV right now every time you buy something. Not deterred by EV Bus fleet failures and too many fires, they now plan for EV heavy equipment like bulldozers, excavators, 18 wheelers, locomotives and God forbid Airplanes ! I saw a comment about this the other day. The poster said we should round up all these idiots and send them all to Greenland. Provide them only 2 commodities. Unlimited Beef herds and coal. I'm sure this was meant for fun, but it would certainly test the depth of their altruistic roots. These are the same folks who defunded the Police, but have now changed their minds.

And now GM and Ford are pulling back from their electric vehicle programs. Toyota = Smart to take a cautious wait and see approach to electric vehicles GM & Ford = Hopped on the electric bandwagon and now would like to quietly step off

EVs require far less maintenance and have less repairs than gasoline engines. I just saw a YouTube short on the most unreliable vehicle for 2023 and it was the Ford electric truck.

Electric vehicle technology is about like when we transitioned from the Album to the 8-track tape, to the cassette tape, to the digital audio tape, to the CD, then to just straight digital music from the internet.
I think electric cars are about at the Cassette tape stage currently. I'll wait and see where automotive technology finally ends up before I invest my hard-earned money in a new vehicle. Agreed on not wanting to be a test mule, it’s still early but the numbers from Tesla continuing to grow YOY say a lot. “ Tesla sold 10x as many EVs as any other car maker during the first three quarters of 2023.” https://x.com/sawyermerritt/status/1719516104639287299?s=46&t=nMLVf69hPg1pGGuTpdFCOw

I'm saying the electric car technology has not settled on its final form yet and it's too expensive. Remember when we made the transition from the tube TV to the flat screen. Remember how expensive they were at first and how the technology changed rapidly? When the technology settled down the flat screen TV's became cheaper than the tube TV's they replaced? The success of one company doesn't make a trend. We simply aren't there yet with Electric Cars... There could be a hydrogen revolution or a green synthetic fuel revolution. There are a lot of big players working on hydrogen and green fuel technology right now and those efforts shouldn't be discounted.. Internal combustion engine automobile technology settled down in the very early 20th century to its basic current form and has continued on with various improvements for over 100 years and is still going strong. CD's had amazing sales for a while too, but CD's aren't selling so well now.

Here is how you make $$: You buy EV stock, then you give massive incentives to people to purchase them. https://www.panion.org/ev-incentives-2023-these-6-countries-promote-e-mobility-the-most/What do people do with a 10yr old EV with dead batteries? The car will be worth ~$5k New batteries will cost ~$20k Eventually they are going to charge you $$$ just to junk it. Unless someone finds a great way to recycle the batteries, without their entire factory burning down. Your car is paid off and you are $15k upside down.
