If something is a really good deal, post that you will buy it or will take it and not ask for pictures and have questions. Not saying it’s right, but the first one that does it, gets the deal. Some even post that, first “I’ll take it” get it!

Pretty sure, if im reading it all right. He did just about what everyone else on here would have done. Sounds alot lije he sold them to tge first person who said "ill buy them".

Ive got a few on here. Mainly because i acted quickly. I would have bought a couple you had, i just didnt want to drive that far.

I know the man that sold them. I can promise you whoever contacted him first is who got the guns. Not a better man in the state of Alabama.

I believe wholeheartedly that the OP did the right thing. He was getting a lot of interest on both guns at the same time and someone took them both as a package deal. He responded to every text with pictures and answered every question i had. I felt very comfortable doing business with him. We all just got beat to the punch. It happens no big deal.

The OP could and can sell to whomever he wishes. First I’ll take em or not. His stuff.

There were discussions and statements made in text msgs that had me questioning then when the OP didn’t follow up on it confirmed.

Lot of responses and generalities on this thread from posters that don’t know what they’re talking about.

^^^ I agree. Again, I’m not bent about it. It’s not how I choose to do things, but there’s no ‘code’ here. You can deal however your conscience dictates. I appreciate these classifieds being here for in-state trading, but there are other sites that ARE more cut and dried for buyer/seller interactions. They’re more restrictive. Some may not prefer that, either. I tend to think keeping a reputation through behavior code on transactions is a good thing for all and doesn’t rely on variables in ethics from individuals using your space. The admins set their own ethical standards. Just my opinion, and not telling anyone else it’s any better than theirs or that folks can’t run what’s theirs however they like.

Since we’re still talking about this, I go above board when buying or selling an item MOST of the time.
I don’t like to do business that way either. I try to stay in order.
Hell I started to buy all three sight unseen just to have the two brownings, but I didn’t.
First “I’ll take it” on here for everybody to see should get first dibs imo.

I’ve been burned on Campfire24 and on Old Gobbler. For the most, people here do like they should. Most will even work with you, hold it for you. That’s what I hate about Facebook Marketplace, you can tell someone you are on your way and if someone shows up before you, it’s gone! They won’t even call and let you know!

Amazingly I had a guy hold and item for me until the next day even though others tried to offer him more money. I was shocked.
That’s why I use the “I’ll take it” on my posts.
I’ve only been ghosted by one person on ALDEER. Started with phone problems, couldn’t get texts, then just deleted my PMs without even reading them.
