Gonna win 2 natty's and 2 heisman's too. Going to go down in the history books as the greatest QB to ever play at Alabama and break every passing and running record on the books.

Well we all know that Saban and Rees did not trust Milroe to throw the ball around 40 times a game for sure. Milroe averaged throwing the ball a whopping 21.8 times a game. You'd think if he was a decent QB, that number would've been almost double that 21.8 times per game. Now why do you think that was........? I doubt the new coach will trust Milroe to throw it either. It'd be a solid bet that Saban told Simpson to stay and he'd be getting his shot to compete against Milroe, Lonergan, and Sayin, and that Milroe was guaranteed absolutely nothing in 2024, based on his play in 23.

Jalen sucked too - no wait - we were just beeing pricks that didnt know the game - he won nfl mvp. Ding - ding - ding - you are correct 😀 Jalen still does not function as a traditional QB in the NFL. He runs the ball just as much as the throws it. The offense has to be completely designed to do that in order for it to truly be effective. Hurts is still a much better running back than he is a thrower. He's not asked to make a bunch of complicated reads and most of his throws in the Eagles offense are short and intermediate routes and the offense is a run first, pass second offense. Neither Milroe, nor Hurts are traditional QBs, but Hurts when he was at AL, while still not an accomplished passer, like Tua and Bryce, was a much better QB than Milroe, by a wide margin. Alabama was knocking on the door of another Natty due to great coaching, and two deep 4 and 5 star athletes at every position, on both sides of the ball. They got there with Milroe, not because of Milroe.

I bet Deboer gets one from the portal. Too bad Penix didn’t have another year. Julian Sayin. Remember the name. California kid. Deboer was after him hard, as was Lanning and every other west coast coach as well as every other big name program. He was tops on everyone's list and Saban got him headed to Bama. Deboer already has his next QB already enrolled at the school he's walking into.

I'm not going to doubt Milroe, he's done nothing but succeed and I'm excited to see what the kid will do next year.

Abolt, if you add sacks and QB runs after being flushed from the terrible pocket he was asked to pass in… he would be over 30 PA per game. Thats not bad. So they asked him to throw the ball around 31 times per game. No it’s not 40. But be honest… was attempting to throw the ball 40 times per game with that offensive line going to be super productive? No.
I’ve said it before… Milroe isn’t as bad as you make him out to be, and he isn’t a great as CNC makes him out to be. He’s somewhere in the middle.
But I understand that you like a traditional pocket passing QB. You like a game manager. And I do to. They are fine. Consistency can win a lot of games.
But I’m going to go out on a limb and say if DeBoer comes to Bama, and Milroe stays… Milroe will have a great year. It won’t be a run run pap over the top type of offense. It will be a catch and throw, roll out, RPO type offense I bet. That’s my opinion anyways. I ain't so sure Milroe starts next year.

We will all know a whole lot more coming out of spring practice.

Milroe doesn’t pass anywhere near well enough to play in DeBoer offense.
