Watching back 40 from recliner. Killed one yesterday here but nothing so far

I have always been told to hunt when you can because you never know when they might be moving. Seems to me every time I’ve hunted “bad weather” I never really see any deer let alone a nice buck. In my experience the most bucks and deer in general I see are on fair weather days.

Buddy in Macon braved it and said he had a shooter buck come in and checked a couple of does but had a messed up rack on one side so he passed.

Good for you. I hunted the last couple days in single digits and had more deer in bow range than Ive had all year (17). Ive had really good luck over the years in cold weather.

My buddy has been hunting a nocturnal buck all season. That buck was out in daylight yesterday for the 1st time since early november.

A cellular camera told me that the theory that deer move good when it's really cold, is absolutely false. They don't move at all here.

X2. Cameras here are showing nothing. When this breaks it will be on-I hope!

Im fixin to go sit in a shooting house for a while because theres nothing else to do and the sun came out. Ive killed good deer before with snow on the ground if the sun was out. We shall see.

Deer are moving on cams well here. It’s 13 with a wind chill of zero and deer are pawing through the ice to get to corn. This afternoon will be insane.

And you know it’s cold when only one of the 3 Hondas you own will crank. 😂

Deer have surprisingly moved pretty good here this morning on camera only problem is I wasn’t there waiting on them.

I'm about to try it.

I wore down the battery and myself trying to Kickstart the old honda 300 years ago on those cold mornings....ended up walking in😕
