Set up in Pickens. Beautiful day to be in the woods. Duck hunters are hammering on Sipsey River right now.

Guess we are testing the wind speed to deer ratio theory this morning. But, my son is heading back for his last semester at Ole Miss soon so no way was I missing an opp to come out with him again - who know what next year will bring when he’s in the real world. Anyway - fingers crossed he knocks one down this morning and good luck to yall!!

25' up a pine at the tip of an smz in a sea of 12' longleafs. 2 does so far.

Sneaking in a hunt before I have to get back to the computer and do a little work. 2 does and a youngin out in the plot right now. Owassa area, nice little gusts but nothing too bad.

Three point came through looking for love.. Sitting by our duck pond and just watched two light in between the trees..

Here in Macon as a guest. Ladder stand in hardwoods with pines behind me. No deer so far. Pretty breezy tho. Duck hunters had a ball thus morning. Opened up about 15 minutes before legal and wore em out.

Had 4 ease through. I swear one was a either an ancient doe or a buck that has already dropped its antlers.

Be out there this afternoon my buddy just shot me a decent 6 with his bow this morning so I'll be after big boys now

I hunted Monroe county for 3 days early this week, saw 3 deer, I guess the ice and cold weather shut them down....will be back at it next week and till the end of the season.....

Wasn’t a good morning where I was. 1 deer before daylight. I didn’t even hear a gunshot.

Nobody had.hunted our place for 5 days, Saw 9 or 10. 2 bucks no shooters

Brother in law shot a 221 pound nine point this morning that was chasing a doe hard in North Marengo. My nephew and I saw one small buck between us though..

Congrats to your brother in law gatorbait. That’s a real nice body weight. In 30 years of where I hunt we have only got 1 that had type of weight.
