I paid $1 for our leaky Jon boat, so I don't think you'll have to worry about a livescope from me.

We used to fish Wind Creek regularly when there was no livescope.
Hell, at the time the best you could get was a humminbird flasher. Learn to find fis on that thing!
We'd locate crappie schoolng off points and have 3-4 boats tied togther with 4-5 folks per boat and we'd each have at least 2 rods each.
We'd fish from around 10pm to just before daylight and have so many fish (3 48qt coolers full) we spent the better part of the next day cleaning fish.
I miss those days

Doc when I was a kid we could catch anywhere from 100-150 in our slough during the spring. The wildest day was when the white bass and hybrids showed up in the slough. There were 5 of us and 1 man in a boat. We couldn’t keep a hook in the water for more than 2 cranks of the reel and even caught some on a plain gold hook. That was before Lake Wedowee was formed.

Not for me. I don’t really even use the depth finder much. I had rather spend my time fishing than playing a video game.

I’m not against them but it doesn’t fit my style of fishing. I like to move fast, cast a lot and cover ground. If I got one it would be to play with the crappie.

I used to think I didn’t want one until my buddy got one and now I feel handicapped without it. I’ve been crappie fishing several years now and can usually catch several without live scope. One of the major advantages is that it eliminates dead water. You don’t have to spend hours fishing places that aren’t holding fish. That being said, we’ve seen probably hundreds of fish in a day, but 90% of them wouldn’t bite. It helps tremendously to find them but it won’t make them bite.
