Yes sir, it's not like it used to be, but still a great area. All the popularity has gotten the really big ones as smart as they've ever been. We also have good sensible neighbors that use good judgement and communicate with us often.

Elm Hat is now Society Hill Conservation Club. They still have most of the property, but not all. Some of the Baker Brown and Moss Pond (Slosheye) properties are private leased now. I was in Elm Hat when it was together, then joined Big Swamp.

I hunted the old Big Swamp club 40 years ago when it was a dog club meeting at Torbert’s store in Society Hill. Killed my first deer an 8 pointer at 12 yrs old in 1980. Best part was watching the old guys cutting shirttails.

I hunted that area when Harold Gooden was President. Too much drinking (and I mean excessive) made me leave. Great area for some really nice deer. Creek stand, Baker/Brown, Federal, Blueberry Hill, etc. Good luck on filling your spots, lost me on no turkey rights.
