cgardner 10 point Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 4,086 White Plains Alabama	Well, the camp bird was exactly where I thought he would be. We sat down by a tree at 450 this morning. At 530 he answered an owl. He was about 80 yards from us. All I did was some purrs and clucks with the slate. Bird pitched out and landed no more than 60 from us. He was just below us, but we couldn’t see him. He only gobbled that one time and never showed up. Ended up getting in a calling contest with a hen that showed up from the other direction. Don’t know where his butt went. Heard 4 other birds, then the wind set in and shucks them up. Left the club at 900 and hit the Lineville Jack’s for breakfast.
