Their plan was to stop one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the country. Purdue made one 3 pointer and UConn only allowed them to take 7 attempts. Same strategy, to a lesser degree, against Bama. UConn plays great defense.

The Purdue guards played like dog squeeze. Had they shot at least 40% on more 3 pointers it would have been a much closer game.
