It has been a few years since I've planted any. I'm trying to remember my atrazine, pre-emergent herbicide rates. Any of you guys have any insight into that? How much to spray per acre? Mix ratio. Also, this is a summer crop. You think I'll have any residual effects of planting an annual in the fall?

Quart to an acre pre emerge then another quart post emerge on ATZ. Pint of dual magnum post or pre, if pre emerge make sure it’s the dual II magnum label. No issues on fall plants, lots of cover crops planted behind corn acres.

I thought the whole point of using RR corn in a wildlife plot was to be able to avoid having to use a lot of different expensive herbicides. I just planted it and sprayed with gly about 3 weeks after it came up. You can see in this picture how bad the weeds were in areas that didn't get sprayed, but it was always fairly clean out in the corn. Good luck with it.

Yeah I’ve never used a pre-emergent on RR corn. Just plant and use gly a couple weeks after it comes up.
