Channel 48 said this morning there were no fatalities from last night's violent storms. That is great news, but that may possibly change as the sun comes up. We are on a 2-hour delay here in Colbert County for school children, and it is a bad storm as I post this.

Four weeks ago, we were hit by an F1 here, and it did a lot of damage to our barns and rental homes. We have been cleaning up for over 4 weeks now and haven't even started refencing the pastures because of the huge trees we have blown down. The root balls on some of the oaks are over 12' high. We will have a mess for years to come but no one was hurt or killed. When the tornado came through here, 15 minutes later, the sky cleared, and the most beautiful rainbow you have ever seen came out. I thought back to the promise God made to never destroy the earth by flood and took this as a sign he will never destroy us again here from a tornado.

Damage to homes and properties can be fixed, but a life cannot.

I can't stand a thief.

Whoever told me must have been wrong as I’m trying to find a fatality count…injuries and one or two dead in Tennessee but haven’t heard any as well from Huntsville etc my bad on the false info…trust but verify is what I should have done.

Congrats hevi! I spent a lot of time in that hospital during rotations with some good docs

Glad everyone is safe today

Glad nobody was killed , God was with us . Heck it's still raining and windy, sever Tstorm warnings still going off . CBS national showing Henagar now , looked very bad , said folks were trapped in their damaged homes all night.

As far as Scottsboro, if you know where Unclaimed Baggage is that's where tornado in storm #1 hit. The house/office got a lot of damage and looks like one store building.

Been cutting downed trees all morning. Got the road into our place and my neighbors access road cleared off. Still without power but glad everyone here is safe and no major damage. Neighbors roof has minor damage. Still raining and lightning so haven’t been able to check the rest of the property but all things considered we got lucky and didn’t get it as bad as some folks.

Congrats on your little boy, great story to tell him about the night he was born. I lost 100 acres of beans last night and lots of trees but it can all be corrected. We pay a price farming bottomland.

Know the feeling, least you get a deal on replant seed, still sucks though.

Congratulations, my MIL is a labor and delivery nurse. Full moons and extreme weather they will be slammed with baby’s being delivered. Happens with cattle as well.
