While hunting last week I saw a bird soaring like a hawk, was about the same size but it had a spilt tail. Best I can figure it was a swallow tail kite. Any of y’all ever seen a bird like I’m describing. What’s y’all’s best guess? This was in lowndes county.

Probably a kite or that fly catcher bird. I think the fly catcher has a very long split tail. The kit doesn't

Definitely larger than the flycatcher. And the pics I found of the kite shows shorter forked tail.

Maybe a Scissor Tail.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Have you ever saw one over your way? Could’ve sworn I saw one years ago on the causeway but didn’t think they were in that area

Probably a scissor tail kite. We see them all the time here in Central Florida.

Swallow-tailed kite. I used to do population surveys for them on the Pascagoula in MS. I’ve seen them in north AL a handful of times. Lowndes Co should have quite a few along the rivers/bottoms.

Yes Sir. Saw one for sure near Mud Creek about 3-4 years ago. Several folks saw him in the area. Beautiful creature .

Could be a chuck's will widow if you were in a wooded area; however, I would yield to Mbrock as he is trained in wildlife.
