One year from the time these results are certified. Gives you at least another year if you want.

If they hire more blacks and younger people in it'll eventually get it passed next year.

I don’t think it will get enough traction for a vote next year. This new CEO we got is the real deal and very well liked already. Our last one was a total asshat and caused all this.

Sounds like your new CEO got there just in the nick of time to salvage the vote and keep them out. Hopefully it will be permanent.

If it is like the one organization attempt we had at a plant I helped run, the ones pushing it are well known and obvious. Use the next couple years to make their life so miserable that they quit or make stupid mistakes that can be written up and used to fire them once the file gets thick enough. Like Barack Obama once said, elections have consequences. My personal motto is "failed elections and coup attempts do too". Sometimes these are the ones that get promoted, believe it or not. At one time, a failed attempt was usually going to be bad for everyone whether they were pushing it or not, but that’s a good way of losing experienced employees faster than you can replace them nowadays.

If I ran the place, I’d strategically waste 1-2 million dollars creating inconsequential management positions that have an enticing salary for the main organizers. Get them to sign some agreements that let me fire them on a whim, and fire them after 6 months.
The UAW spent 1.25 -1.5 million in advertising for this vote, so that’s what I’d spend to counter their actions.

He was a whiny ass from the get go and was always running to medical getting work restrictions.

I guess that would make them a hypocritical murderer. After that, maybe the UAW would offer them a job since they got their hands dirty for the cause lol

Hoggin, my comment you quoted was in reference to a question Eclipse829 asked, difference between the local IBEW and the one they trying to get at Mercedes, IBEW is a skilled trade where as the UAW that would handle the production employees would be considered unskilled. Same way we were Millwright was considered skill and production jobs were considered unskilled.
Should have said that earlier
So now we’ve resorted to calling out people you perceive as unskilled workers? I’m not a millwright or a pipefitter or even in that trade field But I do make a decent living and have great insurance that’s cheap. But hey everyone is entitled to their opinion. PAL. Been out of pocket would have replied earlier. I’m sorry you got your feelings stepped on however, If you showed up work at a paper mill in production you took an aptitude test, couple interviews, pass a drug test and background check you got a job. The same place you want a millwright, pipe fitters , welder or machinist job you the above steps plus you do a hand-ons testing specifically for your skill and if you pass that test then you’ll get a job. I worked 17 years production before an apprenticeship in millwright where I worked 21 years. Not putting nobody down that’s just the way it is. PAL
