Red Lobster is always a fun topic around here. They are closing 50 shops. I bet more closings are on the way. https://twitter.com/WallStreetSilv/status/1790381561017405619

Now Red Lobster is fire selling equipment out the back and front door as fast as they can. I bet some big time fraud just got uncovered. https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/r...its-key-supplier-and-begins-fire-selling

Are they still blaming it on the "All You Can Eat Shrimp" they offered for losing so much money that got them to this point?

The news says their biggest supplier cut them off. Probably for not paying. Thats the simple story. I bet the real story is going to be decided over a 10 year period of time.

I looked at the auctions. You have to buy the entire contents of the location you're bidding on. With a day and a half left, the Decatur location is up to a whopping $1300.00. If someone wanted to and had the time, they might be able to buy off these and make some money selling the used equipment individually.

I bet the big gas ranges and walk in coolers in a Red Lobster are worth a good bit.

Is Huntsville on the list? That place is always packed , don't know why. That building is old and is like being in a dungeon.

Their biggest supplier also owns part of the company. They know what's up...

I probably haven't been to a Red Lobster in 20 years.

Seemed like I walked in the set of the latest Tarzan movie.

Yes, some of it is VERY expensive. I have commercial equipment for my Catering business and none of it is cheap. I was fortunate enough though to buy most from restaurants that were going out of business. The down side is that most of it is filthy and you have to give it a thorough cleaning. If you look at some of the pictures of the Red Lobster equipment, you will not want to eat at another one. The hired help usually doesn't take any pride in maintaining clean equipment.

The little porcelain dishes that they do the shrimp scampi thing in are real good for sorting small things like primers and screws. I stole a couple from a Red Lobster back in the day and they still work good.

Same here. Lot of those old restaurants are going away (never cared for the McDonald's of seafood anyways) Ol' Charlie's has closed, TGI Fridays closed here in mobile it wasn't good anymore. Applebees is gone, we still got a Chili's, but i haven't been there in probably 12 or more years..

Does the Red Lobster in Huntsville still have carpet? Place smelled like a gynecologist’s office last time I was in there 🤮
