I have built up a pretty good stack of rounds, bars, eagles ,maple leafs and junk over the years big enough to fill a couple safe deposit boxes. I’m not looking to sell it now , but when the time comes, what would be the best route to unload several hundred ounces. Pawn shops , individuals , bullion companies?

I don’t know what would be the best place but it probably would not be a pawn shop. If you get ready to sell I would be interested in some of it.

Individuals and on here. Some of us would be interested in some of it.
Pawn shops won’t typically give you full value.

There is a private dealer in Eufala who I can give you contact info for. He will give you a fair offer.

Coin shops. They usually pay spot price at time of sale.

Plus, some of the coins may be worth more as coins to collectors than just the silver price. I would agree that this is probably the way to go.

The best way is to bring it to a coin dealer and get an evaluation. Be willing to sell some of it to him so the dealer gets something for his time. It does take time. A good dealer will point you in the right direction to hopefully maximize what you are able to get for all it, along with getting the right knowledge. Go visit a few of them, call and talk ahead of time. That is their job, its not a hobby for coin and bullion dealers its just another business. But because its an entirely liquid cash business, its actually more honest than any kind of credit based business.

Individual but get a couple of offers from coin dealers first. Some pay over spot on certain items at certain times.A few months ago an Eagle was selling for $20 over spot.

Pay to have an appraisel done with everything itemized and sell it for the apprasied price or best offer.

The last time it was over 50 bucks an ounce was in 2011, a few months before 9-11....It was at 70 dollars an ounce in the 1950's.....If you look at the 100 year trend it maybe time to sell it now while its at least 30 bucks an ounce now... shocked I know that dentists have quit using it several yrs ago...( Some may even sell it for spot...idk.... laugh ) Should we stay or do we go now.... crazy Maybe they'll invent some new tech that has to have it and it will skyrocket, cause I may have a round or 3 too.... smile

Did you know that Beer Nutz are over a Dollar...and Deer Nutz are under a Buck...
