My granddad stopped smoking cold turkey in the parking lot of the cardiologist office after being told to stop. He smoked since before he was a teen so it was probably 50+ years. He ate Certs by the box til he passed tho.
My dad quit chewing cold turkey after dentist found a pre-cancerous spot on his gum. I asked him years later if he still had cravings. His exact words were “I could eat a box of Beechnut right now but just don’t.” That was probably 20 years after he quit.
On her deathbed, mom was going through the motions of smoking a cigarette. I’ll never forget that. She’s in a morphine induced state and pulling her hand to her mouth over and over as if she was holding a cigarette. I knew then that nicotine was a bad thing if she’s 4 hours from dying and still going through the motions. It also made me realize how tough it had to be for dad and grandad to stop.
Both my younger brothers dip. Been doing it since teenagers and both are in their 50s. I hear ‘em spitting in bottle every time we talk on phone. Can't stop.
It can be done but I’m convinced nicotine is the hardest addiction to break. Prayers for you and good luck.

Everything dealing with the human body is “Will To and Want To” becoming aligned to accomplish anything
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

I stopped November 2020 when I got married.
My dad dipped for 30 plus years and finally quit after getting into church, he asked the lord to take it from him and he did. He loved it, I mean swallow it love it.
I loved it to. Done it since I was 15. I had "quit" a few times just to show myself I could. Longest I ever went was 1 year to the date just to show myself I could quit. After my dad told me quitting a year wasn't quitting. I Have not had one in 4 years. I can't say I don't miss it.
If a buddy has a can I will open it and smell it and give it back to him. That is enough for me. EVERY once in a while it will hit me after I eat I will have a craving for one. But the best way to quit is just to quit. Don't wait till you are done with that can.... or that roll... throw it
all away.
I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

I quit Copenhagen by using mini fireballs, I’d stick them in my cheek and spit the juice when it got hot kinda like dip. That was over 20 years ago. Good luck!

I’ve quit cold turkey many times once for 4 years. Now I use the rogues. It’s not about the nicotine or tobacco for me it’s something that occupies me all day. Same here, I stopped cold Turkey and started using Rogue (better and cheaper than Zyn.)

I dipped for a long time. It took me a year to convince myself to quit and I made it a new years resolution. It was tough. Really tough. I liked Kodiak. I really like wintergreen. Even 7 years later, I could smell it and crave it, but eventually the cravings went away.
You can do it, just set your mind to it. Kodiak was my favorite as well then grizzly bc it was 99 cents at the time. I still eat lifesavers wint o green bc of htis to this day.

I quit smoking after 30 years. Cold turkey. Then started dipping. A can a day trade off one bad to another.

I dipped for 10 years . I tried to quit many times because I knew I needed to for my health. Knowing you should quit is not the same as wanting to and having a made up mind . When I finally had enough of that little can controlling my life I made up my mind completely to quit and it was a done deal. It took a lot of praying to get to that point. I can’t stand the smell of the stuff now.

Snuff dipper for 45 years. May 13 was 2 years quit. Started using the Smoky mountain fake snuff from Walgreens. Didn’t care for it much so that helped quit that too. Good luck and it can be done
