Guys I’m looking to get some kind of auto charger. I’ve heard mixed reviews about accuracy etc.
I load hunting ammo and range ammo to shoot plates out to 800 plus so I wouldn’t consider myself a precision hand loader. That being said we (my kids, several buddies, and my self) have shot more in the last few weeks than probably my whole life time. 2-300 rounds of various calibers is beginning to be the normal weekend.
I need something to cut my time while charging cases. I swap calibers a lot too. Sometimes I’ll load for 7 rem mag, 6.5 CM, 308, 300 rum and 300 PRC depending on how much everyone has of ammo.
Id like to easily swap powders and load weights.
I’ve looked at Hornady Auto Charge Pro and FA Intellidropper. That’s kinda my price range I think but wanted some feedback.
What’s y’all’s experience?

The FA needs to warm up first and has a silly hard to use powder dump but I'm ok with it myself for the price. I just turn it on first and then do all my prep/sort/etc before actually wieghing charges. I have no experience with the others.

I’m running a FA Intellidropper and love it. Use it to load for PRS matches and my SDs for a 10-shot string on virgin brass is less than 5.
The actual resolution is better than 0.1 gr.
It can resolve a single kernel of varget. It can be bouncing between 33.3 and 33.4 and trickle a single kernel and it will level off at 33.4.
I can’t say enough good things about the FA. Maybe I got lucky and got a good one 🤷🏼♂️. I do leave mine on all the time and I have zero issues with drift or static.
I’ve loaded about 1500 rounds on it so far and my only complaint is not getting it sooner.
You're only as good as your worst shot-

I have a Lyman 6 gen and it’s spot on. It may throw 1/10 more or less occasional with steel powder and it’s one of the hardest powders to meter I bought it on a sale for like 100 dollars off.
