Was cutting the grass today and worked my way behind the cabin where my Storage container sits. I keep it pretty clean back there. Look over beside a stack of cedar posts and there She was!!! Went under the stack. Ran and put my Boykin up, ran inside and grabbed a shotgun out of the safe/couple shells. Went back to the pile and didn't see here. Was looking beyond the pile then looked where she had gone under and about half was sticking out. BOOM!!!! 3'-8" and 10 rattles. So, my point is always be in snake look mode 'cause you never know where you might see one! A bite from that snake if a hefty dose could have killed my Boykin!!

Approach all upside down jon boats on the bank with caution. It a rule. Lift boat with paddle or long stick and look good before putting your hands or feet near the boat.

I went to get in a truck that I haven’t driven in a couple of weeks and when I opened the drivers side door a 12-14” rat snake was on the weather strip under the door frame. I’m not gonna lie I jumped and heart skipped a beat. Wasn’t expecting to see that.
