Anyone have a the info for a good pond builder in south AL? Already have a few local contacts but want to keep all options on the table. They are about to thin my property and going to have them cut the whole area where I want it to go.

When it’s built. Get a few ducks….. as long as the ducks are there it will have water in it.

I don't know about a builder or costs .. but some of the most fast and furious giant bream fishing I ever did came from a friend of mines three acre pond that had been simmering for a few years.... he stocked some LM bass into it too... bream so big you couldn't get your hands on em.... had to hold em up against your body to get the hook out... Alabama bull bream son with that big old brahman bump on their heads.... you can eat for a life time with a good pond,,,,

Watching this thread to see if anyone spits any #s out. I know it would vary a great deal depending on the property and even local, but surely there are also a few generalizations involved in quoting such a project. It's something I would like to do myself in a few years.

I just got some land that buys against mine. I’d love to wrap the prexisting pond my grandfather built and attach it to the new property.
I’d be interested to in some generalizations and numbers.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

I have a number in mind that I will be willing to say go. But obviously lots of factors involved once you get into it.

Mine is small, but I built it with a buddy over a weekend. Rented a mini-ex and we traded out between my tractor with the loader bucket and the mini-ex.

Actually kinda fun.

Lamar is gonna do some repairs on my pond dam in the next couple of weeks. He knows what he is doing and I am confident he will do a good job. I talked with a couple of guys and chose Lamar. Thanks again Seth for the recommendation.
