What hat do you fellas use? I’m looking for a decent hat that will keep the sun off my face/neck. I would prefer using one made in the USA. I’ve looked on Amazon and most are of course made in China. I’d like something that keeps its shape and not crushable and keeps me cool. I know you old farts and fisherman wear straw hats or something similar.

I have a Huk brand. It's held up well. I had a SA. It fell apart in about 2 months. Not sure where either is made.

I prefer American Hat Co with a 5" brim but I bought a Twister with 5" brim last year that has been really good too, it was cheaper.. They're cowboy hats though, not sure what you're looking for. I wear them mowing and or anytime I'm going to be in the sun for a while and i wear them a lot. Both brands are sturdy, well made and hold their shape even in rain. They're great to work in and also go to dinner in when you're done. They cost a bit more than some Loves Truck Stop Jason Aldean special but they look a lot better and will last for years as long as you don't sit on them.

I appreciate the input and that’s exactly what I’m looking for EXCEPT I don’t want the shape of a cowboy hat. I’m going more for the HUK/SA hat klay mentioned.

Tilley hats are nice and washable. When washed I put mine on something like a cup and let it dry and it holds its shape perfectly

That's what I have and they're great, although they are $100.

Columbia floppy hat, but now really prefer a Bimini Bay long sleeve dry fit with hood and then any baseball cap. Didn't think I would care for the hood, but it is nice.

When fishing, I use a Mission Cooling hat, that I picked up from Academy and Walmart has them also. I have a straw hat that my job gave me but it's just too heavy and bulky for my licking. The mission keeps it shape but can be waded up as well. You can dunk in the water and it will get cool. I don't care what I look like when I'm out on the river.
