Whats the deal with Big Mike's? It's a fatty salty ribeye soaked in Dale's sauce. Much better steaks elsewhere. ate a lot of steaks in my life but not one bttr than big mikes in guntersville.

Connors and Char are not in the same category. Connor’s is Western Sizzlin compared to Char and Cotton Row. Nicks Restorante, Ruth’s Chris, Purveyor, and the Bottle are all in the middle and the one time I had Tom Browns was when it first opened, so would have to try it again to give it a better review. He asked for the best, not most popular. I honestly don’t know how Texas de Brazil is still in business. The 2 times I’ve been in there, it was dang near empty….and until this thread, I haven’t heard anyone mention eating there in years. I have not had Big Mikes.

Big Mike's is good, although I have not been to the Guntersville one, but have been to several others. It is NOT fine dining if that is what you are looking for. What it is, is a decent sit down meal, with a good steak, much better than Western Sizzlin or those type places. All the Mike's have been very consistent on the quality. If I ever get enough money, I'm going to buy a franchise, so I have done a little research and the owners of the name demand very specific things to maintain the quality of the name. I can cook a good steak at my house, but I can't be as consistent as Big Mike's. That is where he beats me.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Last three times I've been they phucked up my steak by overcooking it. I get a big salad there now. I can phuck up my own steak at home.

I hear good things about J. Alexanders for steaks. It is by the Trash Panda's stadium. I haven't tried it yet but it is on the list.
Get the filet and finish with the warm carrot cake. If you want Soul Food, go to G's Country Kitchen and get the fried pork chops, cabbage, fried green tomatoes, and corn bread.
