Evidently the markets are not too excited about Kamala locking down the democrat delegates needed to secure the nomination and the potential for a Kamala presidency. Everything is WAY down today. Currently at:

DOW -424 or -1.1% Nasdaq -612 or -3.4% S&P -115 or -2.1%

Data reports are coming out friday PCE report. That is what the players think the Fed is paying attention to.

Today looks like a collective safety play with Kamala being in existence now. Only the crooks and liars stand to make money under Kamala. Everybody else has to position for defense against them.
It is a good gauge of sentiment about Kamala.

Pretty discouraging that someone who has accomplished virtually nothing can be a nominee for president of the US.

Based on what I just said. The closer it gets to looking like Kamala will get the ticket and maybe steal the election. I would expect a lot of selling off and moves towards safety along the way. Even large investment firms, Blackrock included, have to play it safe with her office. She's so damn stupid somebody could convince her that Ben and Jerry's ice cream is a good substitute for MRE's that can be eaten on her electric schoolbus-tank-boat hybrid battle vehicles..

This will be somewhat offset and tempered by the Democrat supporting Fed, starting to drop rates (which absolutely should not even be contemplated at this point in the game) in an attempt to keep the market propped up and afloat until after the election.

Lots of soft spots showing up. Read where the likes of Polaris and other leisure craft companies have had significant slow down. High interest rates to blame they said. I saw something about banks exposures today and they’ve been mentioning commercial office space being a bygone for the most part.

Oh, but the economy is great they say.

I suspect that if someone had the cash squirreled away that they would be able to pick up some nice toys in the not too distant future at fire sale prices.

Lots of folks living on partial credit and if only making the minimum payment that limit is gonna hit and there is gonna be a huge squeeze on those folks and they will unload as much as they can to stay above water.

Hope you are right TXHuntress. I'm going to be looking for a nice pre-loved bay boat in the next year or two.

I’ve been sitting on dry powder for a while just waiting on this to happen. Unfortunately, it also means I’ve missed out on a hell of a run in the market. I guess we will see how it all pans out. I just don’t have a good feeling about our overall economy at all. The government can only artificially prop it up for so long.

Unfortunately, most of these same folks purchased all these "toys" on credit and are now upside down on their purchases so can't sell them at fire sale prices because they won't be able to pay off the loans. Good for repo man!

This year for me my budget billing power bill went up $38 a month. Chelsea did a stellar job on our trash service, taking it from $38 a quarter to $35 a month. My mortgage adjusted up $150 a month thanks to property tax and insurance increases, and I just added a 16 year old driver and a 2012 Honda accord to auto insurance.

Meat is insane at the grocery store, and while I hate to say this, I have a freezer full of venison, but I am kinda tired of it.

Obama and Janet Yellen have destroyed the U.S. Dollar.

That's what you need to know. The markets will go up because they will print money. We had a couple of the largest bank failures in History last year and nobody batted an eye or even really made a headline..... Janet said nothing to see here.

It's scary as hell. The economic numbers are false every time they are reported and revised every single time to the negative and nobody cares.

The vast majority of the job creation is Government and Social Services jobs.... we all know that isn't good and that Government Jobs are a net drain on the economy..... Nobody cares.

The people on Wall Street couldn't care less they appear to make money no matter what. The entire Country is giving them money weekly every paycheck to orchestrate what is by definition a Ponzi scheme based on tax collections and long-term debt service.

At some point this crashes and you can't print anymore money because the dollar is worthless. That has happened multiple times throughout history. Germany and Venezuela come to mind but there have been plenty of others.

Janet Yellen/Obama believe in what is called "keynesian economics" which at best is a unproven theory. Look at the National Debt. We are in trouble.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

China dropped their prime interest rates overnight and that is what is causing the turn down right now. So our next move will probably be to drop our rates more just to compete with China to see who can over-inflate the most until we got global Zimbabwe money.

You must be mistaken, total inflation according to the govt since Biden took office is only 18%, and it's just over 3% now. You're totally wrong. Bidenomics is working and you're just imagining that the dollars in your wallet are only worth 50% of what they were 4 yrs ago. You got to get on the Swalla' with Kamala train that just pulled out of the station, when the Ridin' with Biden train pulled in off the rails for a much needed decommissioning.
