Seeing a few? It’s just that time. No twins yet.

Driving for work yesterday and saw four does with four fawns in the middle of the day all in Limestone county close to the river. 1 set was close to Browns Ferry. Other three sets ran across the road real close to the Swan Creek shooting range. No twins either. Felt like I shoulda made a trip to Tunica!

Got them dropping down here in the southeast corner on the river.

I’ve seen a few around here on the back roads and heard local talk at the feed store. Here at the house we’ve got one on camera(only one we’ve seen here on the property)with mom on 7/16 hitting a mineral site and natural growth but all the fat bellied does looked slimmed up around that time also.Just last night though we’ve got a few still plump does coming in hitting the mineral site and protein. It’s very enjoyable to sit on the porch look at the kennels 100 yards away and then another 100 yards behind that watch deer come in throughout the day at all hours with no concern about us or the dogs. Heck we’ll be shooting on the range, tracking annd training dogs and they don’t care. We started making land improvements as soon as we moved in back in January with breaks, burns, thinning, etc and the deer(turkey also) have responded to it very well. Going to really enjoy seeing what we make this place in the next 5 years with our sweat equity plan on improving the grounds.
