Can a news station do that? They were reporting on a wreck in Ensley. I played it back several times and you can see the persons charred head, neck, arm, and hand sticking through the windshield.

They did it so I guess they can. There is no decorum or respect from the media, it's all about ratings and clicks.

It was really bad. I feel bad for the family if they were to ever see it.

They can do that. It has been established since the 70's. Most stations do try not to but sometimes it gets through for whatever reason.
I once had the unfortunate joy of watching a journalism class discuss it for several months because my office was in ear shot of the classroom.

There was also the famous case of the elected official in Michigan who blew his head off on recorded television, but it was fully played and gory on the 5:00 news. That was in the early 70's and it started a congressional discussion and new rules for the FCC.

They may not have noticed it. I went out on a service call one time where a man hit a signal pole and burned to a crisp. We waited until the fire truck had gone and we were able to start working on the damaged signal head. Took a few pictures with my phone of the car. It wasn't until later we found out the survivor was taken to the hospital and the boyfriend driver was still in the car

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I sent the picture to the stations program manager so they would know the footage showed the deceased driver. They said the photo doesn’t show the deceased.

If I recall correctly I think that was his name, but I could be wrong about Michigan.

Booger sent me the pic in question last night and he’s 100% correct on what’s in the frame. I didnt even have to study it to figure it out. It’s quite obvious.
