But further down in same article, it says it was confirmed to be legal by the Wildlife authority, he was with a Guide and a Wildlife officer was present.

I'm not doubting the size of the croc or that he shot it with his bow.
However, having been around a handful of crocs in Africa and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of gators being shot with all sorts of weapons in Louisiana...I'd bet that there was a bullet involved that finished the croc off and that being said it wouldn't be classified as a world record archery kill "IF" a gun was used to finish it.
