Just remember, the FCC enabled an alert system not long ago that sends a message to regions affected by the "emergency" at hand. They can narrow this down to send it to only cell phones in a certain region, like the rural part of a "red state". Could that be used in a similar way if we were in a crap hitting the fan situation that the government wanted to control? I haven't checked my phone for C4 lately. I'll put my tinfoil hat back on the shelf now.

There have been reports of cell phones exploding in the past just from overheating. So, C4 may not be a necessary component.

Like Fred, I love that Israel did it to Hezbollah, but at the same time I don't like the idea that a government was apparently able to intercept an entire shipment of ______, modify them into miniature bombs, then distribute them across an entire country. It's "fine" when it's the good guys doing it to the bad guys, but that means the tables could just as easily be turned.

Facial recognition drone attacks scare me more than my phone blowing up. Although the exploding cell phone is definitely a worry.

The Israeli weapon has actual explosives in the beepers. Our cell phones do not.

One thing that can be done, is to overheat a cellphone until the battery bursts into flames. If that happened, the fire emergency issues across any regular city would be devastating. It would be similar to the fire bombing of Tokyo during WWII. Or, a high rise apartment building where all the phones burst into flames at the same time during a regular Tuesday about 0200. Think about what that would actually look like.

My wife and I were talking about this when it happened earlier this week .... then she got quiet and asked me... "Where are iPhones manufactured?" ... I said China... then we both got quiet.

Yep, it is a reminder to Israel’s enemies that “We are smarter than You” and if You attack Us You in return will pay a great price for choosing to do so.

Sandboxx news did a decent job of covering this. Seems the actually company who was licensed to build the pagers was a shell company. Nobody can determine who, what, when or where. The company that allowed use of it's brand to license the pagers say they weren't involved.

My guess, is the shell company was the Mossad. They manufactured two different batches of the same pagers, one with explosives and one without. They tricked the goat humpers into buying them, distributing them to their leadership and waited.

It's a frickin brilliant move by people who I'm guessing could bring down any government any time they want. Sure wish they'd get pissed at Biden and Harris and drop some devastating dirt on them.

If Democrats win they will just use Marshall Law to shut areas down and then disarm and begin curfews. No need for exploding devices. Elections will be suspended until they control the rowdy civilians and firmly establish national control with a one party system.

Another reason to keep my old phone going and not get a new one. I'm pretty sure my old one is way before putting explosives in them was a thing.
