Seems to be the recurring theme for Gen Z across the country’s workforce https://www.dailymail.co.uk/yourmon...es-firing-gen-z-workers-record-time.html Companies are axing Gen Z workers just months after hiring them fresh from college, a new report has found.
Six in ten employers had already fired some college graduates they had recruited earlier in the year, a survey conducted by Intelligent.com found.
One in seven the employers said they also might not hire fresh college grads next year after finding a raft of problems with young workers.
Business leaders listed concerns in areas such as communications skills and professionalism that made them wary of hiring Gen Z.
They also said the workers of that age are often unmotivated and need to be constantly told what to do - rather than using their initiative - is another issue.

Saw this problem coming many years ago when the rule was Hire 5 to keep 1 3 weeks was always the time frame when newbies would either shine or quit or be fired 2 years was about average of keeping an employee This was 20 years ago
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

Says the Higher education system is completely broken. But..but..foosball..
The entire K-C4 system needs to be scrapped.

This was actually done. The people at the US Department of Education not long after Obama got elected did a study that showed that since the Department of Education was founded, performance has dropped consistently. So Obama increased their budget by 90%. He wanted to speed up the decline, and now we have GenZ.

The wife will interview 10 and get 1 worth a damn. And then that 1 is gone in six months.

There are two staff accounting roles on my team that I've turned over twice each in the last 2 years. I've got one in there that I think will stick and the other one may not work, we'll see over another month or so.
I'll tell you what I'm not going to do, and that's lower the standard. The standard isn't changing.

Had a convo with an AA female in office yesterday. She was all in with the pathetic state the employment pool is. She handles unemployment for the state and she says they are still fighting the effects of COVID and the stimulus checks. She says NOBODY wants to work anymore and that just ain’t the way life works. We are understaffed and having trouble filling spots with qualified and trainable people.
A source close to me said that his company (a very large national company based in Bullock county) let a lot of older, experienced employees go (or strongly encouraged retirement) in favor of a lot of younger, hip, late 20s early 30s kids with no experience but plenty of DEI and liberal ideology and paid them sick money. Well, it’s coming back to bite them. They found out that generation has a serious work ethic problem and those guys are starting to get pink slips now.

The wife will interview 10 and get 1 worth a damn. And then that 1 is gone in six months. Had this problem well before Covid. One year back, I interviewed and sent 21 through a paid orientation and had three last 3 months. I've had them quit within 30 minutes of starting the job. I've had them beg us to fire them because "I'd really rather sit in momma's basement, play video games, and smoke weed." We've had them walk out on Thursday because they were reaching the point on that week's earnings that was going to reduce their gov't check. We've had them finish orientation, start the plant tour and quit before the tour was really started because "I can't work here. It's too hot." Anyone and everyone that is trying to staff a labor job is seeing the same deal. And it is not just kids. Many of the folks we've hired that quit immediately were in their 30's or 40's.

Some of this predates Covid, but I'm going to tell you...Covid is to blame for a lot of it. I'll will admit it! Covid screwed my mind up when it comes to working. When Covid hit, I was forced to leave work for 7 months!!! But guess what? I still got full pay. Full Pay. And I got to go turkey hunting every. single. day. that season. Jesus Christ! I got to get a taste of what retirement life might be. NO work. Hunt all the time. Still get paid...Since then, I don't want to work. I still do go to work and do my job as expected, but I don't want to. I'm 45 and can retire with full benefits in 4 years. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. I have a side gig lined up that doesn't feel exactly like work, so hopefully I'm set. Just saying...Covid did more than make people physically sick. Is that really necessary? Its certainly not appreciated.

Ya'll making me blush. My son works as hard as anyone I've ever met. But he ain't cheap and he's worth every penny he makes. Planning on doing the same for my girl if I live that long.

Set the interview at a Waffle House at 6:30 AM across town, it will weed out most of the crap That is the most genius post ever
