Need to rebuild a Cultipacker frame and looking for a few pieces of steel.
Ideally 3/16 thick.
Any advice on where to find?

Call your local steel supply and ask if they have a remnant, cutoff, or overstock area. It will be rusted but should be at a discount price, and sturdy enough for your project.

Plate, tubing, channel, angle, I beam, all of the above, none of the above? Occasionally your local fab shops will have some pcs of drop or scrap they can't use immediately, that they'd rather sell for a bit more than scrap price. I'm assuming that you're not ready to go to the big distributor and pay full price.

Any advice on where to find? Tractor supply usually has a very small bin with a very limited supply of steel, but they will want 4 times what it's worth. I've bought from them before because it's the only retail place I know of where I can find a piece or two. The fab shops don't want to fool with someone who wants 1 piece of angle iron.

Go to the scrap yard. Unless you don’t mind paying out the nose. I looked at lowes last night for some unistrut pieces, they wanted 10.00 a foot for small stuff. I got scrap iron, was just looking and it’s crazy high. Little small sections of angle iron high too. You’re still gonna have to cut it, with something.
